As some of you will already know, I am really interested in bringing my child up with a keen understanding of the seasons and nature. A way that I have begun to do this is to be more considered about what books we have out each season.  Although there are our firm favourites which don’t get rotated out, we do change up his seasonal books shelves each change of season.

Here’s what we have on display for December (there’s a lot of Christmas books for toddlers on these shelves currently but Ill be updated these in mid Jan to winter books)

Books on my toddler’s winter Christmas book shelves: *contains affiliate links*

Story Orchestra The Nutcracker. Oh wow this book is AMAZING! Each page of the story is beautifully illustrated and has the music to the ballet. We both love this so much. There’s also a Four Seasons version which I can’t wait to get for Rupert’s birthday.

Little Christmas Tree Another firm favourite. Stunning illustrations and lots of flaps to lift and explore. Lots about winter nature too.

The Snowman A classic festive story that would work after Christmas too.
