Welcome to my website (previously named Terriers & Tweeds)! I am delighted that you have stumbled across my little patch of the internet and I hope you will stick around! I’m Becky, artist and slow living blogger. I live on Broughgammon Farm with my husband Charlie and far too many terriers.
Broughgammon Farm, run by the Cole family is a forward thinking business that aims to provide delicious food with a strong sustainable ethos and with respect towards the environment. Based in the beautiful North coast of Ireland, the farm has won numerous awards for it’s innovative approach. We farm goats, free-range veal calves and wild game alongside running our own market garden and keeping pigs, chickens, ducks and geese. Expect to see lots of diary-style posts about our lives in The Farm section of this blog!
After leaving my full-time job with a luxury country clothing brand, I set up two businesses. Both are anchored in my training in Fashion Design and love of luxury, high-end products with a sense of provenance and place. The Tweed Fox is a country accessories brand that celebrates the best of Irish heritage and tradition. Where we can we have sourced fabrics locally and collaborate with local crafts-people. Sparrow & Gray is my second business and a partnership with my mother, the Irish artist Lucy Doyle. We have put our creative minds together and produce silk textiles and scarves with divine prints. If you are interested in seeing behind the scenes of what I am up to with my businesses then pop over to my Business & Blogging category.
