This week, I had a rather amazing moment when I found out that my face—and my gorgeous pet goat—had made it into the latest issue of Country Living Magazine! It was such an unexpected delight, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. The picture was included in Country Living’s 40 Iconic Photos article to celebrate their 40th birthday. What an honour!
The news first reached me through some lovely messages from friends and followers who had spotted me in the magazine. A few of you even sent me pictures, which was so thoughtful and truly made my day! There’s something incredibly special about seeing yourself in print, especially in a magazine that celebrates the beauty of country life.
A huge thank you to the incredibly talented Andrew Montgomery whose photography captured such a wonderful moment. Having those images means the world to me, and I know they’ll be cherished forever. I definitely feel very lucky!
Life in the countryside is filled with small joys, and this experience has reminded me of the beauty in sharing those moments with others. Whether it’s through magazine pages, social media, or simply in conversation, it’s a joy to connect with fellow lovers of nature, homesteading, and slow living.
