I recently uploaded a reel on my Instagram account on how to pinch out your tomatoes 🍅 We have a whole side of our polytunnel dedicated to tomatoes and keeping on-top of the maintenance is really important for their health and success. With the weather getting warmer and the days long, it’s time to keep pruning your tomato plants if they are the cordon variety. Removing the lower leaves and pinching out little side shoots allows the plant to give enjoy to making fruit and also allows air to circulate as well as allowing fruits to ripen and not be hidden by the leaves.
