Winter Living by Selina Lake is a hardback interiors inspiration book targeted at creating beautiful wintery living spaces.
I hummed and hawed over purchasing this book-the reviews on Amazon are a mixed bag-too gloomy for fans of her previous pastel offerings. However, for the sake of sharing my views and some sneak peeks here on Terriers & Tweeds I went ahead and got myself a copy.

Selina Lake’s Winter Living Book Review
It’s a gorgeously produced book-thick glossy pages, plenty of images and a nice, hardy hardback cover. I haven’t read Selina Lakes’s other books but after this book I am curious to check the others out.
My favourite pages were the Winter Inspirations and the Snug Bedrooms section in Homespun Charm chapters as they contained the more cosy, traditional feel factor that I always crave come autumn and Christmas time. The book is laid out with easy DIY ideas dotted throughout, the best in my opinion, being the Paper Garland in the Winter Whites chapter.
The images throughout the book are a combo of friends/others homes and her own. Accompanying them are little captions and style notes to give you inspiration. She has a good balance of different types of interiors to suit lots of tastes but I do wish her Festive Celebrations chapter was bigger.
Selina Lake’s Winter Living Book Review-Conclusion
This book is perfect for anyone who loves their home and has a thing for basic interior design. The images have plenty of ideas to steal and use yourself, and Selina’s hints and tips are great accompaniment. The little DIY projects aren’t hugely original or incredible but more suggestions to get your creative juices flowing.
Definitely a great present for any home loving, pinterest and Instagram addict!
