Spring Nettle & Lavender Clay Mask Recipe
Spring skin can be congested and a bit dull after a long winter of low light and excess. Come Spring it’s time to really give skin a good boost and detox and so I formulated this lovely simple Spring clay mask packed with nutrient rich nettle, balancing lavender and super cleanser green clay. This mask can be used all over the face if you have oily skin or just use on the congested areas if you are dry. The results really are wonderful! Once blended together this mask will last one year in a sealed jar. Use 1 tbsp of the the mask powder per 1-2tsp of liquid and use straight away 🙂
Spring Nettle & Green Clay Face Mask
5g dried powdered nettle leaf (NOT the root!)
2 drops lavender essential oil
Combine all the ingredients together into a jar. Mix well. To use combine 1 tbsp with approx 1 tsp of honey, milk or water or until you get a smooth paste that spreads well on the skin. Apply over congested areas of your face. Leave on for about 5 minutes or until almost dry. Remove by applying a warm, wet flannel over the area and then pressing off gently.
